We’re all embracing it these days, yet there’s more to the local food movement than meets the eye. After all, it’s nice to know that your food has a shortened carbon footprint and all, but did you ever stop to think about where it actually comes from? On Zweck’s Farm, a new exhibit opening today at the Longmont Museum and Cultural Center, 400 Quail Road in Longmont, goes a long way toward offering insight. Featuring photographs by Jane Gabrilove of life on a family-owned and -run Centennial farm on the western edge of Longmont, the show logs a year of seasons in the space of 120 images.

And just to raise your appreciation level for local food a little bit higher, the museum will host a reception on Friday, July 25, with farm-fresh eats provided by the Zwecks and other local farmers.
